How do I manage my licenses?

Here you can learn how to download or modify your license file from the Siemens Support Center. If you have additional questions, please contact our Support.

1. Siemens Support Center

To access the Siemens Support Center, you will need to create a Siemens account. If you already have a Siemens account, you may skip this. You can link your licences to your Siemens account so that you always have access to your licences, but also to download software or consult manuals.

Go to the Siemens Support Center to log in or to create a Siemens account. After registration, it can take up to 24 hours to access your software and your licences. So check the Siemens Support Centre regularly when you have gained access.

Please contact our Support if you do not know your Site ID and your Web Access Code.

2. Download your license file

When you have access with your Siemens account, you can go to the "Licenses" page via the Account Center. There, choose your Sold-To from which you want to download a licence file by clicking on "License Details".

View the list of licences and choose which licence you want to download. You will then get to the License Management page where you can choose your software via "Passwords and License Files" and the version you want to download for your licence file. 

3. Replace your current license

If you want to replace your license, it is important to know what type of license you have. Each type of license needs to be addressed in a different way.

Node-Locked License:
If you have a Node-Locked license linked to your computer, you may replace your current license file with the new license file with the same name.

Floating License:
If you have a Floating license, you will need to replace your licence with the Siemens License Server application. Launch the installation file from the license server and follow the installation steps. You will have to choose "Add/Replace license file" and then browse to your new licence file. The license server will automatically reboot, allowing you to start using your new version immediately. 

Cloud-Enabled License:
If you have a license in the Siemens cloud, you do not need to do anything. This license is automatically updated so that you can start immediately with a newly installed version of your software.
