Global window profiles manufacturer uses the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio

Designing window profiles is not something you often think about when you talk about a digital twin. However, by using the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, Deceuninck was able to achieve significant time savings.

Deceuninck increases work efficiency by 30% thanks to NX

We talked to Francis Depuydt, responsible for mold construction at Deceuninck in Roeselare. Deceuninck is a manufacturer of windows and doors in PVC and aluminum and has been a fixture in the city of Roeselare for years. In the meantime, Siemens NX has also been fully integrated into the company, both in the R&D department and in the CNC employees. “We were able to finish fewer products with the same capacity of people. By switching systems, we were able to increase that efficiency by 30%,” says Francis. With Siemens NX they can design, program and simulate.

Support ADOPT id PLM

Not only the programmers received thorough training from the people of Adopt, every CNC operator also received training. This way they can also program their own CNC work, which in turn provides extra motivation. “The advantage of Adopt is that the courses are taught in Dutch and they are close by. Adopt can also be reached by employees: by telephone or by e-mail.”

The consultants of ADOPT id PLM fully tailored Siemens NX to Deceuninck, in terms of their people but also in terms of their systems. Not only the knowledge of their people is thus guaranteed, but also the technological knowledge is assured. “Adopt has ensured that we are more cost-efficient, the lead time has been shortened, the knowledge is guaranteed and the quality has improved”, concludes Francis. A satisfied customer, that of course also makes us a satisfied partner.
